The Germans are ready to welcome the world as the country proudly hosts the 2006 World Cup in June and July. The tournament will be played at 12 excellent stadia covering all of the country. In the North of Germany, there's the Hanover and Hamburg stadia. In the East of Germany, there's the Berlin and Leipzig stadia. Based in the South of Germany are the stadia for Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Munich. In the West of Germany, there is a stadium in five cities - Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Cologne, Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern.
